Where Luxury Retail Meets Elevated Hospitality
The Exchange TRX is Kuala Lumpur’s premier luxury retail and lifestyle destination, home to over 400 stores including Chanel, Burberry, Armani Exchange and Malaysia’s first Apple Store, alongside a 10 acre rooftop park, curated dining precincts and the Aurum Theatre cinema. Sitting atop the mall is Kimpton Naluria Kuala Lumpur, the brand’s first property in Malaysia, offering 466 design led rooms and suites, four signature dining and social spaces, and a rooftop bar with sweeping views of the KL skyline. Together, the two brands represent the heart of the TRX Lifestyle Quarter, where luxury shopping meets elevated hospitality.
To bring this to life, we partnered with two Southeast Asian lifestyle and luxury KOLs, Kevin Chatchapon (Thai/Singaporean, @kevinchatchapon) and Valerie Pola (Indonesian, @valeriepola), to create authentic content spotlighting both destinations.
Each KOL produced one integrated video featuring both brands, giving their respective audiences a cohesive journey through luxury retail (The Exchange TRX) and upscale hospitality (Kimpton Naluria KL) in a curated storyline.
From Sourcing to Shoot Day: Managing the Full Collaboration
We managed the collaboration end to end, including:
- KOL sourcing and coordination: identifying Kevin and Valerie as the right creator fits for both brands and managing communications with their respective teams throughout
- Storyboard development: scripting and structuring a single content flow that naturally wove both client experiences together, tailored to each KOL’s style
- Shooting schedule coordination: liaising with both The Exchange TRX and Kimpton Naluria KL to align logistics, location access and timing across both shoots
Two Perspectives, One Destination
Kevin Chatchapon (@kevinchatchapon) is based across Thailand and Singapore and is known for his coverage of premium fashion and lifestyle brands. His content approached the collaboration through a luxury lifestyle lens from a male perspective, spotlighting the finer details.
Valerie Pola (@valeriepola) is based in Indonesia and brings a warm approach centered on luxury beauty and self-care. Her POV positioned the destinations as spaces for everyday indulgence, resonating strongly with her audience, who are seeking elevated experiences.
Cross Market Reach and Engagement
Across both videos, the campaign delivered strong cross market performance, generating approximately 100,000 combined views and around 3,000 likes, with reposts and shares surpassing 150. This combined reach across Thai/Singaporean and Indonesian audiences reflects strong engagement and how well the content matched each KOL’s established following.
