Luxury Korean beauty brand The History of Whoo has set foot in Thailand, and their first agenda – opening its LINE official account.  

The History of Whoo launched its LINE official account to connect with markets in Thailand. But doing so also helped the brand ramp up its digital marketing and Ecommerce plans. 

With its built-in marketing and Ecommerce functions, LINE allows brands to take their online business to new heights.  

In the case of The History of Whoo, customers no longer have to close the app when searching and purchasing for products.  

Information and product details can be accessed on the platform. In addition, brands can publish ads and send push notifications to their target audiences on LINE, potentially converting engagements to conversions.  

LINE: Thailand’s 3rd Most Popular Social Media  

LINE is Thailand’s 3rd most popular social media website, according to the latest Data Reportal findings. Around 86% of the country’s internet users aged 18 to 64 years old, or roughly 40 million online consumers, use LINE in a regular basis.  

But why is LINE, an app developed by Korea’s Naver Corporation and initially targeted for Japanese markets, making waves in Thailand? The answer is pretty simple yet surprising. It’s because of the platform’s unique stickers, giving a new and engaging instant messaging experience.  

In Thailand, one’s collection of LINE stickers have become a social status itself.  

Now, LINE is more than just your instant messaging and call app. It’s where local and global brands like The History of Whoo meet and interact with Thai consumers.  

And lately, it is set to become a super app in Thailand, relatively similar to that of WeChat in China. Developers of the platform has rolled out LINE MyShop, LINE Pay, and LINE Man, its native Ecommerce portal, payment channel system, and delivery services respectively.
